Vegetarian weight loss plan


People today especially women are now becoming vegetarian; this is because they want to lose weight in a healthy way. Vegetarianism is meal plan that only includes vegetables and exclude meats, animal products and seafood. Lacto vegetarianism is being applied by Eastern religious traditions such as Buddhism, Sikhism, Jainism and Hinduism. Ovo-lacto vegetarian eats dairy products and eggs but does not eat animal products. Veganism does not eat animal products and dairy products including eggs, milk and honey. Vegan is what you call a person that follows veganism diet. Raw veganism eats vegetables, nuts, seed and fruits. Fruitarianism eats only fruits, seeds, nuts and plants. Sattvic diet also known as Yogic diet that is based on a plant diet and dairy products but does not eat spices, fermented foods, chocolates, alcoholic drinks and coffees. Buddhist vegetarianism also known as su vegetarianism does not eat animal products and also vegetables. Jain vegetarianism eats dairy products but does not eat eggs, honey and root vegetables. A macrobiotic diet eats whole grains and beans. Vegetarian diet contains low levels of cholesterol, low levels of saturated fats and low levels of animal protein. This diet is high levels of magnesium, potassium, carbohydrates, foliate, antioxidants and fiber. Studies show that vegetarian people tend to have long life, reduces the risk of developing cancer, cardiovascular diseases, chronic conditions, dementia and many others than meat lovers. However, vegetarians lack calcium, protein and vitamins B12 that results in weakening of bones and depression.

Generally people believe that being a vegetarian helps them lose weight fast this because they consume less calories and less fat. It is better to have a balanced meal everyday because some vegetables lack of nutrients while other dairy and meat products can give enough products nutrients the body needs.
